The leader of the Nephite dissenters (king-men), he drove the chief judge, Pahoran, and the freemen from Zarahemla and made an alliance with the Lamanites.   When Captain Moroni found out what he had done, he marched to Zarahemla, gathering men along the way, and joined Pahoran to take back their capital city. Pachus was killed and his men defeated.
